about me
How does one normally start these things?
I was born at a very early age ……. J
Heheh
Seriously, my life has been fairly standard up till now – good parents, one brother. Nothing out of the ordinary. I guess you could call it an “ordinary” life. Lived in Adelaide with my parents until 19 years of age.
Went to high school to year 12. Skimmed through that with average grades. Got a job with a bank during the mid 80’s this was a reasonably secure job to be in.
Then I got transferred to Port Augusta while working for the bank which was 300km north of my home in Adelaide. This was a big change for me as I was in my comfort zone.
Ended up being there for 3 years. Met my first wife there. She was also transferred to the same branch of the bank I worked for. We ended up living together, then one thing led to another and next thing we knew we were going to be parents.
So , another big move, back to Adelaide to buy a house, have a child, get married (yes in that order).
Then a setback: Our daughter gets diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 6 months. She battled on for another 5 and ½ months, just missing her first birthday when the leukaemia finally took her over and she passed away.
We then had 3 more kids together. They have all grown up fit and healthy. I also lost my job during this period – early 90’s about the time when the banks and “big boys” were going broke.
Shortly after our last child, she left me (literally – packed up one day when I was at work and left with the kids)
Next 14 years spent in and out of court fighting for contact and eventually custody of my kids. They now live with me and visit their mum occasionally.
During his time I had another serious relationship for about 6 years which also ended in divorce.
So here we are about 2005, 2 divorces a three part time jobs and not much to look forward to, while trying to support my 3 kids. A bit of a challenge.
At this time I was working for a friend in gawler, SA. I was approached by a bloke who I had met many years ago through another network marketing company. I knew him briefly from a couple of meetings we attended.
His name is David Graham. A person who I now respect and admire for the team he is building and the assistance he has given me, even though I wasn’t a “fireball” with this business.
Anyway, he approached myself and the person I was working for and advised us of this great business that was making headway in communications and soon to be in with the IT industry which is where my heart belongs – both myself and the person I worked for are IT addicts J
So we signed up. Then did nothing for 2 years. Then we dropped out. Good start .
3 years later (about 2008) David again approached us and told us that internet and other services where coming in to play. So we both decided to give it another go. So we signed up again . then we did nothing again for 18 months. Hows that for fast starters J
I also met my current partner , Elizabeth, at this point in my life – its amazing what can happen with online dating J. She has 3 girls, so with my lot we became the brady bunch (short 1 housekeeper )
I also started my own computer shop with the help of my mate / previous boss. That was an eye opener. Lots of hours, little return and no holidays or long service leave. (no super fund either as my previous 2 relationships drained that )
So time to get going with A C N …….. once you make a decision , things start to happen . I got some points. Then I got some more . picked up a couple of reps. Lost a couple of reps. 9 months later 50 points and ETT. And a residual of 10% !!!!
Here we are 2011. I am about to turn 43. I have a wonderful life partner and a bunch of pretty good kids. My eldest is 19 and moved out with her boyfriend but still stays in touch and has also singed up with A C N.
My computer shop is still just getting going but I know I have a base with A C N.
Update sept 2011:
M partner , liz, has developed ciatica in her spine and has been limited to wheel chair movements , so my reason to build has now put pressure to go super speed. She is no longer able to work and has lost 2 jobs. Thank god for A C N.
Next goal ETL.
